Crimson fire paints a pastel sky with the bristled brush of divinity, a blooming ocean wildflower suspended in ebullient stasis, a blissful morning memory threatening to vanish between glances.

This simple sketch with colored pencils depicts our original three chickens, only one of which soldiers on (following the “Cinco de Mayo Massacre”), but many others have followed.
