“Yea, I climbed it!” – Cerro Toco in the Atacama Desert in Chile. Photo taken with my cell phone from the deck of the Explora resort in San Pedro de Atacama. We summited the 18,386 ft peak of the volcano the next day, Jan 27 2020.!
“Mentor” – This majestic giant poplar tree, standing tall beside the smaller tree upon which the sunlight has illuminated, reminded me of a great mentor. Taken with my cell phone on a lovely walk in the woods- the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest in remote western NC. This stand of never-logged giants is home to the tallest trees east of the Mississippi River.
