Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma DFP - Frequently Asked Questions

What requirements, if any, are there for new members to join your DFP/ETC?

We welcome applications from all SAR members interested in advancing the clinical care, education and research in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

What is the new member application and approval process?

The selection of individuals for membership on the PDAC DFP is based on the applicant’s expertise in and contributions to imaging of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Appointment of members involves an application process followed by voting on the member’s application by the entire core panel. The applicants are requested to submit:

  • A copy of their most recent CV (highlighting any activities related to PDAC in the CV)
  • A brief paragraph covering:
    1. Explanation of why the applicant would like to participate in the PDAC DFP and
    2. Description of potential contributions/activities for the DFP by the applicant, e.g., research projects, educational programs, etc.

After receiving the applicant documents, they are reviewed by the panel leadership and submitted to voting by the entire panel. A vote of >90% by the panel is considered a positive outcome.

What can new members expect once they join your DFP/ETC?
