Advanced Ultrasound ETC - Frequently Asked Questions
What requirements, if any, are there for new members to join your DFP/ETC?
Expertise in ultrasound with an interest in developing protocols/research in ultrasound, mentoring and education
What is the new member application and approval process?
We receive requests directly or via submission online through the SAR website, we look at the institutional representative from that institution if any and whether we have additional roles for new members to fill.
What can new members expect once they join your DFP/ETC?
They will participate in quarterly meetings, join one working group and one committee and be able to collaborate with all members for research projects, collaborate with other relevant SAR DFPs/ETC and other societies on ultrasound topics.
Does your DFP/ETC have a membership cap?(NB: The oversight committee does not mandate a cap)
We don't have a cap but wanted to keep it a manageable group with enough tasks to distribute, a rough number is around 20 and as a new ETC we initially had more interest than we felt we had room for but have since then added 4 of these members, all more early career.
